Mascara

Mascara emphasizes the eyes, and by making your lashes look better it will make you look more feminine and pretty. eyelashes

Simple Mascara

1. Rest your elbow on a steady surface.

2. Putting mascara on the bottom lashes makes your eyes look big and more open. But if you don’t have that many bottom lashes, it can make them look a little sparse. It is always best to do them first so you don’t get a dotted rim of mascara under your brow becasue you didn’ let your top lashes dry before applying the bottom. To do it, tilt your head down and looking up into the mirror, carefully stroke mascara onto the bottom lashes.

3. And to do the top lashes: With your eyes wide open, gently sweep the mascara wand from root to tip on the middle and out lashes. If you want, you can sweep at an angle and wing it out to make your eyes look gorgeous!

4. Then, make sure the end of your mascara wand isn’t coated in lots of mascara. If it is, blot away any excess with a tissue. Then, slowly, being careful not to blink, sweep the inner lashes diagonally towards the start of the eyebrow.

5.Get rid of any blotches of mascara on your face with a warm, damp cotton bud and your done! (but hopefully you won’t need to do this step)

Heavy Mascara

1. Apply a coat of mascra normally, as shown above

2.Then, while the first coat is still wet, use the end of the wand to get large blotches of mascara into the roots of the hairs (try not to blink as you do this because mascara in the eye is a nightmare!) and wiggle the brush to and fro very slightly as you wing it up and out, until you have all the mascara distributed evenly throughout the lashes. Easy! It is sometimes useful to be looking down on a mirror, so you can see more easily as you apply the mascara into the roots.

Icicle Lashes

We just thought we’d give you a little extra exciting look to try out. This works especially well as a really glam Christmas’sy look;

1.Apply normal mascara. This look works best if you apply it quite heavily.

2.Then, while it is drying, make a water and eyeshadow paste in silver or white on the back of your hand.

3.With a clean mascara wand, sweep this heavily on the outer corners of your eye lashes and then put less and less on as you work inwards. This look would be real head turner at a Christmas party or while out carol singing with friends.

Curling

An alternative to applying mascara is curling your eyelashes. It gives the illusion of bright, wide eyes, makes lashes look longer and gives the pretty curl we all want anyway! They can look daunting at first, but confidence is key: and don’t run away. They often give instructions on how to use eyelash curlers on the packaging you buy them in, but if not, heres how to use them:

1.  To begin with, make sure you don’t have any mascara on. It can make the curlers dirty and lashes can stick to them .. which is a bit frightening. Once holding them, bring them up to your eye so that they lashes are in-between the two bars.

2. Secure them and squeeze tightley, but carefully. Hold them for around 30 seconds.

3. Relax and release your lashes, (and breathe again).
